Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, meet & transfer to hotel. Overnight.
Day 02: In Kathmandu
Day 03:Drive to Sundarijal& start trek to Chisapani(2300m).
Drive from Kathmandu which is about 1 hrs drive to Sundarijal from where trekking going to begin. The trail start ascending steeply through dense forest of oak, pine and rhododendron along with a large water pipe, that supplies water to Kathmandu cities, until the ridge of BurlangBhanjyang(2442m) from where you will have magnificent views of Annapurna in the west to Ganesh Himal and Numbur in the East. Then, you descend again through oak and rhododendron forest, cultivated fields and meadows to Chisapani. Stay overnight at the tea house.
Day 04: Trek to Kutumsang(2446m)
Chisapani is such a nice place from where you able to Dorgelakpa and Langtang Himalayan range. After breakfast trek descent about one and half hour, you reach a large Tamang village-Patibhanjyang from where you again climb to cross a pass of 2470m and then descend to Gul Bhanjyang, another Tamang Village. From here the trail again hikes to a pass of 2620m before descends to Kutumsang. You will have splendid views, stretching from the Annapurna’s and Manaslu in the west to Numbur in the East. Stay overnight at the tea house.
Day 05: Trek to Tharepati (3650m)
From Khutumsang, the trail ascend through forest with superb views across to Numbur, JugalHimal and many other snowcapped peaks, before you arrive a ridge form where a short descent brings you to ManganKharka at 3285m. Now, the trail gradually gains altitude through pine and rhododendron forest with good views down into the Helambu valley and across to JugalHimal and Numbur. Finally reach at the Tharepati. Stay overnight at the tea house.
Day 06: Trek to Tarkeghyang(2560m)
From Tharepati the trail descends all the way to MelamchiGaon through the dip pine and rhododendron forest with viewing natural water fall. This is such a nice village in this area which is situated on the lap of High Mountain. From Melamchigaon, the trail continues descend to the MelamchiKhola. Once across the suspension bridge, the trail begins climbing up the other side of the valley towards Tarkeghyang. It is a long climb to this picturesque village at 2600m., situated on a shelf high above the river. Tarkeghyang is not that largest but still nice village in Helambu valley and the destination for the most trekkers in this region. It is a good place to take a rest. Stay overnight at the tea house.
Day 07: Trek to Sermathang (2,610m)
Since, you do not gain altitude that much today; it's going to be comparatively easy walk. You will cross forest, streams, and waterfalls along the way within 4-5 hours. The trail makes a sweep around the wide valley end between Parachin and the Sherpa village of Gangyul. From Gangyul, you arrive at Sermathang. Discover the village. There is also a Buddhist monastery at the highest point of the village. Overnight stay in teahouse.
Day 08: Trek ends at MelamchiPul Bazaar and drive back to Kathmandu.
Today is the final day of the trek; you walk down to MelamchiPul Bazaar. The village is mostly inhabited by the Sherpa, but there are also people of other ethnicities.
Day 09: Final departure from Kathmandu.
